Olympic Games in Sydney 2000 - Werner Schlager and a handful of colleagues are amazed when suddenly Microsoft founder Bill Gates mixed with the spectators.

What emerges is a picture of Schlager with Gates.

Gates came out as a table tennis fan.

London 2012 - and again the billionaire came on invitation of ITTF President Adham Sharara to the Games into the Excel Arena. Bill Gates visited the third round match of the U.S. player Lily Zhang against the Chinese player Li Xiaoxia and so once more expressed his ties to the table tennis sport.

Adham Sharara ever tries to get VIPs into the table tennis sport. The U.S. acting stars Susan Sarandon (she even has an own club in New York City) and George Clooney are avowed table tennis fans.
