Daniela Dodean, continuously training at the Werner Schlager Academy from the beginning and star player for the partner affiliated SVS STRÖCK team has qualified directly to the European top 12 (4- 5 February 2012 in Lyon) via the December ITTF world rankings. 

This is a special designation for the European native Schwechaterin as one of only five European-developed players that will participate. Seven players born and developed in China will fill out the field.

Daniela Dodean is also one of the players who has automatically qualified for the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.
