During a press conference at the Vienna Marriott Hotel, the representatives of the European Table Tennis Union (represented by ETTU President Stefano Bosi), the Austrian Association (with President Dr. Gottfried Forsthuber) and the Werner Schlager Academy (CEO Martin Sörös) signed a cooperation agreement for the Table Tennis Championships (4 to 13 October 2013).
The Championships will be held in the Werner Schlager Academy and the Multiversum Schwechat
and bring about
1,400 accredited persons to
Schwechat. Up to 3,000 fans are
expected each day of competition.
By far the largest sporting event ever thus will take place in the Airport City. Connected
with a tremendous added value in the calculated amount
of approximately EUR 3 million.
The event will see athletes from 50 countries at the start and ETTU President
Stefano Bosi scattered exactly six months before the EC flowers towards the
organizers: "The Austrian Association and the representatives
of the Werner Schlager Academy are
full professionals. Therefore, it will be a great event. I am convinced,
"explained the Italian.
At the General Assembly of the ITTF
during the World Championships in Paris
(13 - 20 May) Stefano
Bosi, as he surprisingly announced during
the press conference, will compete as a challenger of ITTF
President Adham Sharara.
