Enhancement to the WSA training team

26.03.2012

On 11 January 2011, the Werner Schlager Academy (WSA) in Schwechat, located in the outskirts of Vienna, opened its doors to the world.  Within a very short time, the WSA has established itself as a top world-class training center.  In close cooperation with the ITTF and many partners around the world, the Werner Schlager Academy has been a key point of contact for players from more than 100 countries (as of March 2012).

The coaching team of Mario Amizic, Richard Prause, Dirk Wagner, Dimitrij Levenko, Liu Yan Jun, Mathias Habesohn and Provas Mondal will continue to be strengthened:

Tamara Boros (born:. 19:12 1977), former world No. 2 ranking, three times European champion and World bronze medalist in 2003 in Paris, will join the coaching staff of the WSA after the London Olympic Games. The contract is signed.

Tamara Boros: “I look forward to the challenge of working at the WSA and the opportunity to interact with the absolute top trainers in the sport.  It is an honor and a challenge for me to be accepted onto the team at the WSA.”  Boros, who wants to remain active as a player (for the club Zagreb and the National Team), stated “After 19 years of cooperation with my coach Neven Cegnar, I now propose a whole new chapter in my career, one that is very exciting for me.”

WSA head coach Richard Prause is pleased with the strengthening of his coaching team: “Tamara, as a former number two in the world rankings, brings a lot of experience.  It is very nice that she chose to work with the WSA.”
