Austria's women table tennis champion SVS STRÖCK opens the new CL-season with a 3-1 win.

The home game against Dr. CASL Zagreb began indeed with a shock, as top player Daniela Dodean due to a knee injury was not able to play but the squad of last year’s CL-finalist from Schwechat is now strong enough to sometimes do even without an absolute world class player like Dodean.

Qiangbing Li (2) and newcomer Yuki Nonaka from Japan contributed to victory. Junior player Nicole Galitschitsch had the opportunity to gather important experience at their home CL-debut.

In two lots Li Qiangbing had to pass only a single set and the first performance of Yuki Nonaka it can be said that the WSA partner club will have a lot of fun with this buzzing defensive player. Nonaka fights at any point, plays varied in defense and shows remarkable offensive skills.

The next home match in the CL Group B will be held on Monday, 3 December (19:00, Werner Schlager Academy) against the Hungarian Champion Budaörsi SC.
