In recent days a top-level ITTF meeting was held in the ITTF-Europe Office in the Werner Schlager Academy in Schwechat.

Under the leadership of ITTF CEO Executive Director Judit Farago, the international competitions managers Karl Jindrak (Austria), Didier Leroy (Belgium), Raul Calin (Spain) and Mohamed Dawlaty (Egypt) have paved the way for 2013. "It was about the guidelines for structures and the dates for 2013," said Austria's double European champion from 2005 Karl Jindrak, now high-ranking official in the ITTF.

2013 is a competition-intensive year with the highlights of the World Championships (13th - 20th May) in Paris and European Championships in the Werner Schlager Academy in Schwechat (October 4 to 13). The World Tour 2013 also makes a stop in Austria. From 23 to 27 January the Austrian Open in Wels will be on the stage.
