The ITTF is now the worlds largest international federation. 

Since the World Championships in the chinese city Suzhou, it is official: The table tennis federation ITTF has now 222 members which means that it is the worlds largest international federation. For the first time, it overtook the international volleyball federation with just 220 members.

In the course of the world congress held in Suzhou, South-Sudan and Sao Tome & Principe were registered as new members, therefore the ITTF now counts 222 official members.

But the just ended World Championships were also an enormous success concerning the attention of the media world-wide. The images of the event were broadcasted in not less than 169 countries.
