ITTF Youth Project

01.10.2012

Since the opening of the Werner Schlager Academy, the largest table tennis training center in Europe has provided a promising youth project with the International Table Tennis Federation.

The ITTF, from the first minute partner of the Werner Schlager Academy, selects highly talented hopefuls and provides them - in cooperation with the WSA - best training facilities.

Currently seven young athletes are stationed in Schwechat: Christopher Wheeler (Scotland), Prachi and Kanak Jha (both USA), Andreea Clapa (Romania), Tomas Polansky (Czech Republic), Insana Mahuri (Latvia) and SVS Ströck newcomer Tamolwan Khetkuen (Thailand).

These talents are mainly coached by Aya Umemura and Tamara Boroš.

The next stop in the tournament schedule of the young players will be the Serbia Open in Vrnjacka Banja.
