Both seasons I and II have been completed since the founding of the WSA-association SVS STRÖCK.
In the very first season (2010/2011) the 14 years of dominance by Number One Linz Froschberg in Austria was ended by the SVS STRÖCK ladies. This victory was accompanied by the cross-border Super League championship.
Season II was an uphill battle, as the Austrian Championships were defended, but only a second place in European Champions league, losing very close to TTC Berlin Eastside.
Now the preparation for season III is underway with great enthusiasm.
With Daniela Dodean (Romania) and the multiple state champion Li Qiangbing (women) and Nicole Galitschitsch (junior) were held as the three top players at the club.
And then Japan came calling.
Can the team
respond to the fact that China's team world champion Fan Ying because of a
scheduling conflict between the Chinese Super League and European Champions
League 2012/2013 cannot compete for SVS STRÖCK?
Yes, for we went on a search for a replacement. And what a sensational
find in Japan:
Two top players from the Far East are coming to the Austrian champion team: Aya
Umemura and Yuki Nonaka.
Umemura, once the No. 11 singles ranking and most recently in the German
Bundesliga at Langweid is now on the team and should give the team much due to
her incredible disciplined routine and quiet stability.
Yuki Nonaka is a strong defensive
player who is always good for surprises and excellence.
In addition, SVS STRÖCK is also consistently on the red-white-red trail: In
addition to Nicole Galitschitsch, who made her first appearances in the
Champions League, also added to the squad is Valerie Tischler (age 16), another talent in the Champions League team.
An exciting season is upon us. . .
