It is the big hit of the year - SVS Niederösterreich against the Champions league defending champion Borussia Dusseldorf on Wednesday (20:15) in the Multiversum in Schwechat.
This semi-finals match is drawing many people under its spell, with the German World star Timo Boll (World No. 2 ranking), Patrick Baum (20) and Christian Suss on duty for Borussia Dusseldorf.
Just the mere ranking comparison makes it clear: SVS Niederösterreich needs the full support of the fans against these dangerous opponents. Werner Schlager, currently ranked World No. 21, leads SVS Niederösterreich, with Chen Weixing in the 27th World ranking place, and Daniel Habesohn in 103rd place. At position 113 in the latest ITTF rankings stands a young man who is clearly recognizable as the Newcomer of the month: Stefan Fegerl.
He has made another leap by 40 (!) places and is knocking on the door (as is Daniel Habesohn) to enter the top 100 in the world.
With this most recent jump, Stefan Fegerl has, since the opening of the Werner Schlager Academy in Schwechat in September 2010 at World ranking #214, pushed up by a staggering 101 places!
