Since the founding of SVS STRÖCK in autumn 2010, everything is different in the Austrian and European women’s table tennis.
With immediate effect that Linz Froschberg was replaced
as number one in Austria after
14 years of dominance -
SVS STRÖCK was team champion in 2011 as well as 2012 and also Europe was mixed up: in the first year of participation (2011/2012) the WSA partner club reached the final of the European Champions League.
On 10 September 2012 (19:00, Werner Schlager Academy in Schwechat) the team will start into the second CL season.
First preliminary round opponent is the Croatian Champion CASL Zagreb, a very strong team
with a star from Japan
(Yoshida) and Croatian
internationals.
SVS STRÖCK competes
at full strength, with the Romanian
multiple EM-medalist Daniela Dodean, the Austrian team players Li Qiangbing and Nicole Galitschitsch
and the newcomers from Japan, Yuki Nonaka
and Aya Umemura.
Target for the incipient CL season starting on 10
September is the
semi-final, which would finally
establish the Austrian Champion in the European top.
