The international networking of the Werner Schlager Academy extends to wider and wider circles around the world. In February alone, representatives from 21 nations were guests at the WSA in Schwechat.
In March, many of the top European nations are preparing in the Academy for the World Team Championships in Dortmund (March 25th – April 1st).
This, in addition to (as previously reported), the entire national team from China!
Complementing the activities internal to the WSA, the Academy officials are increasingly active in other countries.
The latest example: Richard Prause, head coach of the Werner Schlager Academy, will hold the highly responsible head coaching position for the national team of Iran at the Asian Games in Macao (February 23rd – March 1st).
This mission removes Mr. Prause from his usual role of the head coach for the SVS Niederösterreich men's team in the Champions League quarter-final second leg against Saarbrücken on February 24th.
This task is now assigned to Dirk Wagner, another of the lead WSA coaches.
On this February 24th, an enticing double will be presented to the table tennis fans in the WSA-Multiversum Event Hall:
17.15 Clock: Women's semifinal between SVS STRÖCK and Linz AG Froschberg (1st
game: 3-2 to SVS STRÖCK)
20.15 Clock: Men's quarterfinal between SVS Niederösterreich and Saarbrücken
(1st game: 3-1 to Saarbrücken).
