An outstanding performance by the WSA-partner association SVS STRÖCK in the first leg of the semi-final matches puts one foot into the finals of the cross-border Super League.  The 7-0 win over MSK Breclav was a remarkable success.

Individually, Daniela Dodean, Huang Yi-Hua, and Austria's singles and mixed doubles national champion Li Qiangbing each accounted for two points, with Huang Yi-Hua/Dodean winning the doubles to complete the sweep.

Because of the win/loss ratio of 21:4, less pressure will be on the WSA team in the return match on Sunday (18:00 in the Werner Schlager Academy hall).

The second leg of the quarter-finals match in the ETTU Champions Cup on Friday (19:30, WSA hall) against Eastside Berlin will be a more challenging affair.  With a disappointing 0:3 first leg, perhaps a bit of a small athletic miracle is needed to turn the tide.  Though at first glance it may seem impossible to reverse the results, given the outstanding form of the Breclav matches, the team could possibly do so with wins of at least 5 matches of 0:3
