Austria's teams left an extremely strong impression in Dortmund at the LIEBHERR World Team Table Tennis Championships.

The Austrian men with Daniel Habesohn, Stefan Fegerl, Chen Weixing, Werner Schlager (all of the WSA-partner team SVS Niederösterreich) plus Robert Gardos finished in 5^th place.

In particular, the performance of Daniel Habesohn stood out, as he defeated fifth ranked Joo Se Hyuk of Korea 3-0.

The Austrian women with Liu Jia, Li Qiangbing (SVS Ströck), Sarah Kainz and Elena Waggermayer finished in 10^th place.

Other undeniably strong performances from players and teams who made their preparations at the Werner Schlager Academy were SVS Ströck-player Daniela Dodean (2-0 against Hungary, and the first career victory over Poland's world-class defender Li Qian), Mattis Burgiss, and the national teams of Iran and India.

The Chinese national team's final training camp at the WSA obviously prepared them well: a gold medal by the Chinese men, not giving up a single game in eight matches – 24:0.
