Outstanding success for the WSA partner club SVS STRÖCK!

In its first year of existence, under the most able direction of Austria's women's national team coach Liu Yan Jun, the team of Daniela Dodean, Huang Yi-Hua, and Austrian national champion Li Qiangbing has reached the finals of the cross-border Super League.

In the semifinals, the Czech team Breclav was well handled with the convincing score of 13:1.

After the team played away from home on Wednesday of last week with a 7:0 win, competition moved to the Werner Schlager Academy in Schwechat, with a convincing 6:1 victory.

In the ETTU Champions Cup, the SVS STRÖCK team, the only  team representing Austria, was eliminated in the quarter-final round.  Eastside Berlin came into the Friday night contest with a commanding 0-3 lead from the match on their home court.  This proved too big an advantage, for though the SVS STRÖCK team played very well to a 3-1 victory (2 wins for Dodean, 1 win for Huang), it was eliminated from the Cup by an overall score of 4-3.

In the final analysis, SVS STRÖCK has attained a highly successful season record.  In the Austrian championships, the team is in the semi-finals, and in the finals of the Super League against Austria series champion Linz Froschberg.  The Super League final dates (in April) will be established soon.
