The conclusion of the Team events at the European Youth Championships in Kazan, Russia established the rankings of the Austrian youth teams.  The rankings were: 22 (young men), 23 (male students), 24 (female students), and 25 (young females).

Thus, it is clear that the realistic goal for these teams in the 2012 European Youth Championships, to be held in one year at the Werner Schlager Academy in the Multiversum in Schwechat (13 – 22 July), is a rise to the top 16 junior teams in the nations of Europe.

The best performance in the team competitions was from Vienna's Simon Pfeffer, as he remained undefeated in all the matches.

Kazan begins on Wednesday with the individual events (singles, doubles, mixed doubles).
