The ITTF World Hopes Week in the Werner Schlager Academy in Schwechat moved to the tournament phase on Saturday and Sunday.

Approximately 90 young players from 32 nations will “settle” on a mere 32 tables for the weekend matches.

The big winners were Hong Kong.  For the boys, it was 10 year old Wong Ho Chin (3-0 in the final against Romanian Christi Pletea) and for the girls Leung Tsz Ching (12 years old).

The awards ceremony was performed by Werner Schlager and ITTF Education and Development Director Mikael Andersson.  The ITTF spoke appreciative with great praise and gratitute to the WSA for staging the event with first rate professionalism.
